As you probably remember, our medical team has acquired 36 VACs a few weeks ago. Now they are delivered in different Ukrainian hospitals and already put at work in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Ivankiv.
Vacuum-assisted closure of a wound is a type of therapy to help wounds heal. During the treatment, a device decreases air pressure on the wound.
Studies show that VACs significantly helps patients heal faster and reduce infection. Treatment can last anywhere from a couple of days to several months depending on the severity of the wound.
